The Constitution for the United States of America, Article I, Section 2, Clause 5: The House of Representatives ... shall have the sole Power of Impeachment. Article I, Section 3, Clause 6: The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. The House has constitutionally fulfilled its "sole Power" with the two Articles of Impeachment against President Donald J. Trump; i.e., it no longer has any constitutional "Power" whatsoever pertaining to this constitutional proceeding. Zero. Nada. None.
Yet, the longer the Speaker of the House refuses to SUBMIT to the Constitution so that the Senate may now fulfill its "sole Power", the more she proves where the Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress truly, constitutionally lies. Socialist Supreme/Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt executive order "arranged" the creation of the Export-Import Bank in 1934 "to aid in financing and to facilitate exports and imports and the exchange of commodities between the United States and other Nations or the agencies or nationals thereof." The EXIM was made an "independent" federal government agency in 1945. Wikipedia terms it "the official export credit agency (ECA) of the United States federal government", "a wholly owned federal government corporation." In 1968, Congress changed its name to Export-Import Bank of the United States. Whatever its been called, what the EX-IM is is simply a statist federal government pork scam that uses, what else, taxpayer $$ to enrich the corrupt coffers of foreign and domestic crony capitalists alike. EX-IM's first transaction was a $3.8 million loan to Cuba in 1935 for the purchase of U.S. silver ingots. Since its inception, Boeing and General Electric have been its largest beneficiaries from the U.S. taxpayer $$ statist federal government lends to foreign countries to purchase American products. Statist/crony capitalist Congresscritters love the EX-IM because it literally helps them buy lemming votes by bringing the pork back home to local businesses. The Executive branch, which EX-IM is an agency of, uses it to "influence" its oft-times imperialistic foreign policy. Scott Garrett is a former Republican U.S. Representative from New Jersey; President Trump nominated him to head the now-impotently troubled EX-IM (its Board can't seem to agree on fundamental issues: it hasn't been fully operational since 2014, thus making it a perfect example of bloatedly overwhelmed, statist federal government bureaucracy). As a member of Congress, Garrett often pushed to end the EX-IM, so Trump's nomination of him to head the EX-IM mirrors other Trump nominees who've previously pushed for the disbanding of the very agencies they been appointed to lead, and Trump's seemingly wholesale philosophy of deregulation in total. Keep in statist/crony capitalist mind that every statist/crony capitalist entity in the U.S. fully supports the EX-IM, led by the notoriously statist/crony capitalist U.S. Chamber of Commerce itself. Today, Tuesday, December 19, 2017, the 12-11 majority-Republican Senate Banking Committee voted 10-13 to outright reject Garrett's nomination to head the EX-IM. Republicans Mike Rounds and Tim Scott joined all their Democrat statist/crony capitalist colleagues in axing Garret. Why? Because they feared Garret would at least weaken their statist/crony capitalist EX-IM, and at worst push again for its full closure. I remember sitting on the end of an Orlando hotel bed watching television, burning some time before leaving to catch a flight, and watching President Clinton point his finger directly at me and proclaim, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.” I discerned he was lying, intentionally, straight to my face, and I instantly lost any respect I had for him. Later, of course, Clinton would become only the second President in American history to be impeached by the House of Representatives; one of his charges, ironically, being perjury (the other: obstruction of justice). Clinton, though, would also join Andrew Johnson as escaping conviction by the Senate. An American President intentionally lying to the American people is totally unacceptable to me. An American President committing perjury concerning relations he had is an impeachable offense, obviously. So, what about an American President who unconstitutionally commits an act of war against a sovereign nation and who then intentionally lies to Congress about the only reason he'd be constitutionally permitted to act? The intent of the framers in commanding a declaration of war by Congress was to prevent exactly what President Trump unconstitutionally committed last Thursday, April 6, in America and last Friday, April 7, in Syria: a unilateral act of war that had nothing practical to do with defending the national security of the United States of America at all. Yet, after committing his intentionally unilateral, unconstitutional act, President Trump further compounded his intolerable constitutional crime by intentionally lying to Congress: Dear Mr. Speaker: A President's only constitutional permission to commit an act of war unilaterally - without the Congress declaring war itself - is if national security is, indeed, threatened in any way, shape, or form. But, by any logical evaluation, America's national security was in absolutely no way - and is in absolutely no way - threatened by a chemical gas incident involving Syrians in Syria.
Plainly, then, the President Trump's "vital national security" offering to Congress is just as intentionally deceiving as President Clinton's equally intentional lie to the American people, and to the court, which resulted in his impeachment. How much more is worth impeachment, then, than intentionally and unilaterally committing an unconstitutional act of war against a sovereign nation, killing people by doing so, and then lying to Congress trying to justify that illegal act? Mr. Trump, like Mr. Clinton before him, has totally lost this American's respect. 1. The facts of this matter are that perhaps the world's greatest criminal investigative body - America's Federal Bureau of Investigation - has found not a single iota of incriminating criminal evidence against anyone in any way associated with President Trump in regards to Russia, nor has the FBI found even a sniff of criminally incriminating evidence against the President himself in regards to Russia. And keep clearly in mind that a week and a day before he left Office, January 12, President Obama finalized rules commanding the National Security Agency make available to all over federal agencies which comprise America's "intelligence community" the information it gleans from its almost omnipotent surveillance and data capturing power - meaning, in general, that every member of the "intelligence community" is privy to the same information and, specifically, that the FBI surely has done it's best to investigate through all the information every other agency in the "intelligence community" has at its pleasure, too. From the President's most distanced associate in this matter, to Michael Flynn, to the President of the United States himself, the FBI has pronounced they have found no incriminating criminal evidence against any of them at all, and that unless such incriminating evidence suddenly appears, there is absolutely no evidence of any criminal acts committed by any of those investigated that can possibly be prosecuted at this time. Today's 44th annual March for Life in the nation's capitol will go a long way in affecting whether the Trump/Pence ticket gets a second term in 2020. Mr. Pence will be the first Vice President to ever address marchers (no President ever has; shame, shame on you Mr. Trump), and the first woman to ever direct a victorious US presidential campaign - Kelleyanne Conway - will also speak. With an allegedly pro-life President, an allegedly pro-life majority in Congress, and an alleged opportunity to appoint a pro-life Justice to the Supreme Court, the Republican Party - led by President Trump - has no legitimate excuse this time to not take its very best swing to date at knocking the block off of Roe v. Wade. If they don't, if they pass-up this golden opportunity to actually walk like so many love to politically talk, then they will begin losing the elected power they currently are blessed with beginning in the next election, and their failure will result in Trump/Pence having absolutely no chance in hades of being reelected. Time in this nation has come for the socialist chaff to be separated from the patriotic wheat. The inalienable right to life, endowed to all human beings by the Creator, is a declared American republican political principle, and if those who were specifically elected to defend and protect that inalienable right don't, then they must be discarded as so much chaff, too. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Just as the Trump inauguration gave reverent, record-setting glory to God (six prayers in total: three invocations and three benedictions), so too will his next four years in Office bring forth even more righteously-rising opposition to the cold-blooded, intentional killing of the most innocent and vulnerable human beings among us. Trump, in his very first words to the world as President of the United States of America, reestablished the proper role of America's republican form of empowered government, instantly reversing over a century of socialism's unconstitutional bastardization of government > the People in, literally, one fell swoop. With the growing number of feminists who find abortion to be the outright murder of God-given life it naturally is, President Trump will find his way of leading the overturn of the unconstitutional, socialist government sanctioning of such murder that much easier. Having honored the Creator as was done during his inauguration, having reestablished the People to their American revolutionary political role, now President Trump must cement his own constitutional political revolution by fully and precisely putting American government back in its constitutional place of securing the inalienable right to life, instead of unconstitutionally acting as socialism's agent of outright murder.
