Sir, it seems just from some of those earnestly defending you that you did, indeed, court teenage girls when you where in your 30s, and just that alone insists you must quit your campaign for the Senate.
A Senator of the United States should be held to higher standards if America is to be as exceptional as you proclaim it must, sir. But, it is not exceptional at all that a grown, adult man should be romancing young girls in any way whatsoever. Even if an exception to that rule may've been somehow acceptable to anyone 50 years ago or so, today it is most certainly not, not in this massively sexual offending climate saturating relationships between females and males these days.
By staying your current course, sir, you are proclaiming there is nothing wrong with what you did, when, in fact, America cannot tell its 30-year old men today that they're completely free to even think about actually romancing minors. No, sir: that is most assuredly intolerable.
Step down, sir, and send the message to all that what you did is not something any 30-year old American man should even imagine tolerable today. This is so much bigger than your political ambition; this is about the well being of America itself.
Please, sir, do the right thing.
