A 15-year old girl was walking home from the pool one day when a male attacked and raped her. She did not recognize her assailant, and she wasn't very aware of the birds and the bees. When she arrived home, she told no one what had happened to her. A couple of months later, the 15-year old girl became sick - so sick that she told her mom she needed to go to the doctor. After examining the girl, the doctor informed the girl and her mother that the girl was pregnant; both were aghast. Before panic could set in, though, the mother told the girl, Let's go to church and pray. From that prayer time, both the mom and her daughter decided to bring the baby into this world. And months later, a little boy was born. From his very first memory, the boy recalls his grandmother instilling in him the love of God. In fact, the boy would grow into a man not feeling anything out of the ordinary in knowing God as his only father. When he became mature enough to fully understand what had happened to his mother and how he came into this world, he did not feel sadness or remorse; he felt only blessed to be alive at all. They say 25% percent of all pregnancies end in abortions these days; I'd imagine that percentage is astronomically higher when rape is involved. But I know one 31-year old who beat those incredibly dire odds, because I heard him tell his miraculous story today. |
